Exhibition opening on Thursday 22 February, 6pm-8pm
In Genaivisheh Shtiklech, Linden New Art presents sixteen new works of art by Nicole Newman. These small-scale sculptures are intended to be somewhat of a puzzle to the viewer.
Each handcrafted perspex box contains intricately silver-smithed forms from both the natural world and the artist’s imagination. The works contain hidden messages engraved in Yiddish and multiple layers of meaning to be found in the combination of words, visual puns and surreal imagery.
Accompanying the exhibition will be a series of programs including workshops for kids and opportunities to meet the artist. Visit Linden’s website for further details.
