DESCRIPTION:DinoFest is the ultimate school holiday fun\, featuring life-size\, walking\, and interactive dinosaurs and a range of kids’ themed activities. \n  \nDinoFest stomps back into Nortons Park at Wantirna South this spring\, following a sell-out season last year that proved a huge hit with local families. \n  \nThe immersive experience especially designed for children aged nine and younger runs throughout most days of the school holidays\, from 19 September to 4 October (excluding 23\, 28 and 29 September)\, with an additional weekend of shows from 10–11 October to meet demand. \n  \nIn addition to more than 30 massive\, walking and interactive dinos and lots of cute baby dinos attendees can touch and pat\, DinoFest Melbourne Spring 2026 will debut two new baby robot dinosaurs. \n  \nThe Dino Trail stars a towering Brachiosaurus and\, of course\, a huge T. The 45-minute Dinosaur Encounter live show is another highlight; and DinoFest includes a range of educational and engaging kids’ activities like a Dino Dig\, themed arts and crafts and ‘feel a fossil’ with real dinosaur bones. \n  \nBlending entertainment\, education and imagination\, DinoFest is a highly interactive outdoor adventure that promises to spark wonder and lifelong memories. \n  \nFamilies are strongly encouraged to pre-book online as DinoFest will sell out faster than a Velociraptor can run!

SUMMARY:The Enormous Radio
DESCRIPTION:An uncanny audio encounter with the animal world. \n  \nPRESENTED BY THE SUBSTATION\, CHAMBER MADE & MELBOURNE FRINGE \nChamber Made’s The Enormous Radio is a new large-scale immersive audio experience by artists Roslyn Oades and Bob Scott with collaborators. A ring of old radios replete with glowing dials\, crackling speakers and twitchy antennas fill The Substation Main Space. This strange hive has been hacked\, revived and repurposed to operate as an interconnected machine-medium capable of seeking\, receiving\, translating and transmitting uncanny messages from the animal world. \nDrawing on Australian wildlife field-recordings\, spatialised composition\, translation software\, and techno-spiritualism\, the installation conjures haunted transmissions that speculate on the possibility of interspecies communication. As acoustic ecologists make breakthroughs in deciphering animal languages\, this work asks: what if we could tune into the non-human\, the endangered\, and the wild? What might they say? \nIn the time of human-made climate emergency\, The Enormous Radio stokes our longing to connect and tune into the unknown and the wild. \nAt the heart of this project is an ongoing collaboration between innovative documentary theatre maker Roslyn Oades and internationally acclaimed sound artist Bob Scott\, whose combined skill set spans documentary\, sound design\, composition\, expanded theatre\, installation and immersive design. Their previous theatrical installation experience\, The Nightline\, was presented by Malthouse Theatre in August 2026. On The Enormous Radio they are joined by creative technologist Kevan Atkins\, production designer Jenny Hector and text dramaturg Sarah Walker. \n

SUMMARY:Roisin McAlinden - Fairytale: Ending
DESCRIPTION:A funny feminist anti-fairytale.\n\n\nIf you’ve come here looking for happily ever after\, you’ve come to the wrong place. Fairytales turned Roisin into a damsel in distress. This is her revenge. \n‘Like catching up with a brutally honest\, very funny friend’ ★★★★★ – On The House \nA rallying cry to women to tell their own stories\, reclaim their narrative\, and be the “crazy ex” they wish to see in the world. \nUsing sharp\, feminist and excruciatingly dark humour\, Roisin McAlinden processes the end of a coercive relationship by tearing apart the fairytales that convince women to shrink themselves in pursuit of love. But what if fairytales could serve a different purpose? \n‘A magical storyteller’ ★★★★ – Fringefeed \n‘A talented writer. Her material is excellent’ – Australian Stage \nDirected by award-winning clown and scriptwriter Penny Greenhalgh.

SUMMARY:Back to the 90s - Melbourne
DESCRIPTION:Back to the 90’s is bringing its 2026 Australia and New Zealand Tour to Melbourne for one huge night at The Emerald Peacock. \nFollowing sold-out Back to the 90’s events across Australia and New Zealand\, Infusion Events returns to Melbourne with a full two-level takeover celebrating the house\, dance and party records that defined the 1990s. \nThe downstairs Main Room will focus on 90s house\, Eurodance\, trance and club anthems. Expect music associated with artists including Daft Punk\, The KLF\, Snap!\, Culture Beat\, Technotronic\, ATB\, Alice Deejay\, Faithless\, Underworld\, Crystal Waters\, Robin S\, Stardust\, Black Box\, Nightcrawlers\, C+C Music Factory and more. \nUpstairs\, the Emerald Peacock rooftop changes the mood with 90s R&B\, vocal singalongs and broader party favourites. The two distinct areas give guests the freedom to move between a dedicated dance-music room and a rooftop party soundtrack throughout the night. \nHeadlining the Melbourne event is multi-platinum DJ and producer Jolyon Petch. With more than 25 years behind the decks\, Petch has built a career spanning club culture\, radio and major events throughout Australia and New Zealand. He is joined by Ken Walker\, Jorj Pats\, George Djay\, Tania Marie\, Morgan Belbruno and DJ Gel from New Zealand. \nBack to the 90’s is designed as a proper club event rather than a generic nostalgia playlist. Experienced DJs who lived through the era will deliver the records with the energy\, pacing and knowledge they deserve. The event combines a quality CBD venue\, two dancefloors\, strong production and a crowd ready to relive the music together. \nIt is built for the generation that remembers these records the first time around\, as well as anyone wanting to experience the colour and energy of a classic 90s dancefloor. Guests can move from hands-in-the-air house and trance downstairs to familiar R&B hooks and vocal favourites upstairs without leaving the venue. \nThe Emerald Peacock is located at 233 Lonsdale Street in Melbourne’s CBD. Back to the 90’s has exclusive use of both levels\, including the city-view rooftop. Doors open at 8:00 PM on Saturday 10 October 2026\, with the event continuing until 1:00 AM on Sunday morning. This is an 18+ event. \nTickets are limited and previous Back to the 90’s events have sold out. Current ticket availability and bookings are available through Eventbrite. From early club classics to crossover dance anthems\, the Melbourne edition brings the different sides of the decade together under one roof. \nThe Music. The People. The Memories.
