Acclaimed Melbourne-based, UK-born, singer/songwriter Sunset Salore (pronounced ‘sai-lor’) officially launches her much-awaited debut EP, LOVE KILLS THE MONSTERS at The Bergy Bandroom in Brunswick, Melbourne, on 1st February for a ONCE ONLY live gig, and wants YOU to join the party!

LOVE KILLS THE MONSTERS is an eclectic collection of stories, glued together by funky basslines, and sultry grooves, and carves out Sunset Salore’s place in Melbourne’s Alt-Pop music scene. Expect a very rare full band performance of the EP, and some surprises on the night celebrating local musical talent in an inclusive, welcoming environment for all.

Sunset Salore’s music is an empowering reflection on moments in life. Reflecting on the launch, she said

“This EP was the first time I felt ready to tell a cohesive story, and it was really cathartic, quite reflective for me during a challenging time. That’s where the name comes from, the thought that maybe we can love our demons away – that love can kill the monsters.”

The lead single from the debut EP, ‘Call It’, was premiered exclusively by AAA Backstage. It was played extensively on streaming platforms in 119 countries and getting regular radio play globally in the first few weeks of release. A month after release, it crested 70k streams on Spotify alone. It also reached number 32 in the European Indie Music Charts, where it has stayed for almost 9 weeks so far.

The second single ‘Mystery and Magic’ was premiered by The AU Review, and was released on the 23rd August. It has been played by 268 radio stations globally and hit over 60k Spotify streams in the first few weeks post release. It is currently number 4 on the World Indie Music Chart, and number 10 on the European Indie Music Chart.
